Editing the Wiki
You can edit a page by clicking "Edit" at the top right, underneath the page's header. You will be prompted for a password. There are two levels of authentication on this Wiki. Some pages can be edited by TC members, others only by the TC chairs. Please just try, since this distinction is probably going to evolve over time.
You will see the source code of the page, some buttons and a box with basic instructions for text formatting. If you want to learn more about how to format text, follow the links provided in the box. Most things are pretty easy. You can play around in the Sandbox, if you would like to try things out.
Please provide your name in the Author box.
Please use the preview button and scroll down below the formatting tips box to see what the page will look like. Don't forget to save after you are happy with the preview.
One of the key concepts to know is that of a WikiWord. A WikiWord is a set of two or more words run together, where the first letter of each word is capitalized. If you write a WikiWord on a page you edit and then save it, the word will be a link with a question mark next to it. Clicking on that link will create a new page. It's as simple as that.
The paragraph above contained the word WikiWord several times, but it was not a link, you may say. You can write WikiWords by writing them like this [=WikiWord=] when you edit a page. Then the word will be displayed as is, not as a link.
You can find much more information at this Detailed Wiki Documentation. Just take a quick look before you start playing in the Sandbox.
