IEEE RAS Technical Committee on Algorithms for Planning and Control of Robot Motion
Newsletter September 2006
Dear Committee Members,
This newsletter contains one question and annouces two new features of the TC-APC Wiki.
- Will anybody be at IROS this year? Please email Oliver if you will attend and are willing to represent this technical committee during an IEEE meeting.
- The Wiki now has a page to archive PhD Theses. These valuable documents are often hard to find and tend to disappear after the student's Web site is removed. We want to make it easier to find theses, while giving recent graduates some visibilty. Please encourage your recent graduates to upload their theses to the Theses page.
- We also want to start a directory of people in the field. Please add yourself and others to the directory page. Incomplete information is okay, hopefully the entry will be completed by others. As a reminder, the password is [deleted for security].
Finally, a reminder from the first newsletter.
We would like to invite your contributions to the technical committee in the following areas:
- Please encourage other researchers and your students to join the TC.
- Please contribute content to the TC-APC Wiki.
- Please help to expand the Wikipedia entry for motion planning, which is linked from the TC-APC Wiki.
- Please make contributions to this newsletter.
- Please feel free to make suggestions for TC activities.
We are looking forward to your active participation in this technical committee!
Yours truly,
Oliver Brock

Wiki Instructions:
Most of the pages can be edited using the password [deleted for security]. Please take a look at this page for some instructions on how to edit the wiki. There is a sandbox on this page where you can try out some of the features of the Wiki. Editing the Wiki is very easy and we hope that this ease will encourage you to contribute.
