Tom
is an undergraduate student in the computer science
department, he is affiliated with the
Robotics and Biology Laboratory as part of an REU
project.
Tom is working on the mobility part in autonomous
mobile manipultion. More specifically, he is
integrating Carmen, a software package for autonomous
localization, mapping, and navigation into UMan, our
mobile manipulation platform. Tom is also working on
integrating the Barrett three-fingered hand.
